Not much has been written about the history of the ship. Only that this steel 4 mast barque was built in 1888 by the English company Russell & Co in Glasgow for the Dunkirk shipbuilder Bordes & Sons. It was probably primarily used to transport nitrates. It was finally dismantled in Belgium in 1923.
However, the model itself has nothing to do with the ship of that name. It is just that the Heller company wanted to use the hull form and main parts more than once, so they invented a similar model to the Pressen ship kit. The photo of the parts with masts and booms is not blurry - the package contains 4 identical frames of parts for 4 masts. The model is made to Heller's standard quality. In addition to the photos of the ship model, there are mainly historical photos of the real Cap Horn ship. If you download them from Wikipedia in high resolution, you will also see many details of the rigging.
