Description: Yawl sailboats have their origins in England, but they were also very popular in the waters around the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Norway. Yawl FD 10 with a displacement of 63.5 tons was built in 1930 in the Danish shipyard Nyborg. Shortly afterwards, he was sold to the Faroe Islands, where he sailed under the name Sjostjornan TG II. Over the next 20 years, it changed many owners and names until it was sold to Iceland in 1950 and renamed Arnanes. FD 10 is designed for intermediate shipbuilders; is designed as a non-floating desktop mockup.
The FD 10 has a fuselage of classic wooden construction from laser-cut parts with a plank plating and a wooden deck. The kit contains all the wooden and plastic parts needed to complete the model, mock-up accessories, tarpaulins, etc.
