Norden Cutter 1:30
Code: 3BB6003Product detailed description
Description: The Norden fishing cutter, dating from 1930, is a typical representative of the ships built at the time in the Danish towns of Klimøller and Vorupør. Compared to the former purely sailing cutters, it has an extended hull, an auxiliary engine and a closed body for the helmsman at the stern. Cutters of this type are characterized by excellent stability and generally excellent nautical properties; the maximum speed is around 6 knots. It is typical for boats that they do not anchor at sea, but after reaching the beach, they are pulled to the land slide by winch. Norden is designed for beginners to intermediate shipbuilders; is designed as a non-floating desktop mockup.
Norden has a hull of classic wooden construction made of laser-cut parts with a plank plating, a wooden deck and a superstructure. The kit contains all the wooden and plastic parts needed to complete the model, mock-up accessories (eg position lights, anchor, lifebuoys, sails, propeller, etc.).
