Description: The Norwegian Løve (Norwegian Lion) was one of three sister row ships launched in 1765 at the shipyard in Nyholm near Copenhagen, entered service in 1767. The ship carried 70 cannons of various calibers on three decks. Before being expelled from the Danish-Norwegian navy in 1798, it protected merchant shipping in the Baltic Sea, guarded the Øresund Strait separating Sweden and the Danish island of Zealand, and served as an emergency refuge for residents who lost their roofs.
Norwegian Løve is designed for advanced shipbuilders; is designed as a non-floating desktop mockup.
The Norwegian Løve has a hull of classic wooden construction from laser-cut parts with a plank plating and a wooden deck. The kit contains all the wooden, plastic and metal parts needed to complete the model, mock-up accessories, tarpaulins, etc.
