Smit Rotterdam 1:75
Code: 3BB4078Product detailed description
Description: Smit Rotterdam launched in 1975 was at one time the largest and most powerful tugboat in the world with a displacement of 2273 tons, a length of 75 m and a 22,000 hp machine. The 1:75 scale kit is designed for very advanced shipbuilders.
Smit Rotterdam has a hull of classic wooden construction with plank plating, wooden deck and superstructure. The kit contains all the plastic and wooden parts needed to complete the model, mock-up accessories (eg position lights, anchors, lifebuoys, etc.), ship shafts with bushes and propellers.
To drive the model, there are two DC motors of the 500-600 series, at least 30 A bidirectional regulators (according to the motors) with a 6-7 cell NiMH or 2-3S LiPo battery with a capacity of 3-5000 mAh. You can, of course, add a transverse maneuvering unit to the bow.
In principle, even the most ordinary two-channel RC set is enough to control the basic functions; common standard servo is suitable for rudder control. But for the right modeler, of course, it is an "obligation" to add as many model functions as possible (lights, sound module, water cannon, maneuvering unit, etc.), which will require the use of a multi-channel RC kit - and there are never enough channels.
